HARTFORD, Conn. — A meeting widely identified in advance as unnecessary has successfully produced four additional meetings, according to attendees.
The original session, scheduled for thirty minutes, was called to align stakeholders on a decision that had already been made.
It ran fifty-two minutes.
By its conclusion, the group had scheduled a follow-up, a deep dive, a working session and a short sync to prepare for the deep dive.
“It was a useful starting point,” the organizer said.
Attendees said the meeting produced no decisions, three action items with no owners and one document that has not been opened.
One participant proposed handling the remaining questions over email. The suggestion was noted and scheduled for discussion.
The working session has since been expanded to include two additional departments.
It is now recurring.
