DENVER — A local investor confirmed Sunday that the dip he purchased earlier in the afternoon had been followed by a second, larger dip located directly beneath it.
Kevin Barrett, 31, said he had spent several hours studying the chart before making what he described as a disciplined entry.
“I waited,” Barrett said. “I didn't panic. I bought the dip.”
Approximately forty minutes later, the asset declined an additional nine percent, revealing what Barrett characterized as “a dip under the dip.”
“I bought that one too,” he said.
Barrett said the second purchase had strengthened his long-term conviction, a conviction he confirmed had begun at roughly 2:40 p.m.
He declined to specify the length of his intended holding period, saying only that it would be measured in years unless conditions changed.
Family members said Barrett has described three separate assets as generational holdings since June.
At press time, Barrett had located a third dip and was reportedly considering whether it constituted a buying opportunity or a pattern.
